Dr. Schermer is from St. Louis and received his medical degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed surgical residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, and Urology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Schermer is certified by the American Board of Urology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been practicing Urology since 1990. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. Dr. Schermer also serves as the Medical Director for the Mid-Missouri Continence Center. Dr. Schermer’s areas of special interest include female urology and neurourology. Dr. Schermer and his wife, Judy, have three children and a dog. Dr. Schermer enjoys running, tennis, bicycling, fitness, backpacking, music, painting and reading.
