Dr. McGaughey (pronounced "McGoy") received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Her Urology residency was completed at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. McGaughey is certified by the American Board of Urology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been practicing Urology since 2002. Dr. McGaughey is a member of the American Urological Association, Society of Women in Urology, and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. Well-trained in all areas of urology, Dr. McGaughey enjoys the diversity of practicing general urology, including treatment of tumors of genitourinary tract, kidney stones, urinary incontinence and infections. Dr. McGaughey is the only practicing female Urologist in the Mid-Missouri area. Dr. McGaughey was raised in Topeka, Kansas. Dr. McGaughey and her husband, Jeff, have two children. When time allows, she enjoys traveling (Ireland is of special interest), reading and ballet.
